Val d’Isere

Part of the Espace Killy ski region Val d’Isere is a popular resort for British skiers. The vast ski area offers terrain for all abilities, with over 300km of pistes, and the snow coverage through the years has been excellent. With a number of fantastic catered chalet options and hotels the resort has plenty to offer in terms of accommodation to satisfy all your needs. There are also two nursery areas just off from the centre of town making this a great destination for the family.

For those looking to carry on their days after skiing the apres ski scene is buzzing with plenty of bars, the Folie Douche is a must visit above La Daille. Here you can enjoy the sounds of the saxophone being played by a man fully clad in fur on the roof of the building. For the full experience how about starting at the Fruitiere for lunch which is right is part of the building. Later into the night there are a couple of clubs to try for those who want to keep the party going!

Not for the faint hearted, the good intermediate/advanced skier can take on the infamous ‘Le Face’ run, which used to be the Olympic downhill run, you will truly feel the legs burn.
