Les Gets

A charming old farming town, there is still the weekly market in town, Les Gets a great destination for a families. Geneva is just over an hour away making the transfer bearable and also opening the resort up for long weekends. The resort isn’t the highest meaning that early and late season skiing isn’t always great, however being part of the Porte du Soleil ski region does mean that you do have easy access to neighbouring Avoriaz which is almost as snow sure as you can get.

The skiing itself for beginners and intermediates is great with a good nursery area for the first timers, you are also able to by a ski pass for just Les Gets and Morzine which offers ample skiing. For the more competent skier this is a massive playground and will certainly keep you occupied for the week. There are a number of terrain parks in the region for anyone looking to test their airborne technique. You can also make the most of the number of other activities on offer in town ie. Bowling and ice-skating before trying out the number of bars and restaurants in town.
